Celebrity By Travis Ketzak / June 27, 2017 The firefighters at the Chelsea Fire Station heard a knock on their window recently. When they went to see what it was, they saw a woman in sunglasses waving back at them. It wasn’t until they let the woman in that she took her sunglasses off and said “hi, I’m Adele.” The Grammy award-winning singer stopped by to thank the firefighters for their incredible bravery at the horrific Grenfell Tower fire last week. Station manager Ben King told The Independent that “she just turned up at the station and knocked on the window and said she has some cakes for us.” The firefighters reportedly had cake, tea, and “a cuddle” with Adele. We can’t say we aren’t jealous, but if anybody deserves it, they do. After their spot of afternoon tea, Adele joined the firefighters in a moment of silence to commemorate the people lost in the tragedy. The death toll, when including those missing and presumed dead, is believed to be up to 79. It was a disaster, but it would have been even worse had it not been for the bravery of the Chelsea Fire Station firefighters. Enjoy your cake gentlemen, you’ve earned it.
